Where there’s growth, there must be direction and intentionality. Creating a comprehensive plan ensures that current and future leaders understand the community’s vision and how residents want to see the city grow. Simply put, a comprehensive plan is the community speaking through its leaders to guide day-to-day decision-making. What are our shared community values? What do we consider to be affordable housing? What types of development are appropriate for our city and where are they best located? What type of investment do we want to attract to our community? What initiatives can we take to create and program spaces to gather and socialize? Developing a comprehensive plan is a proactive approach to ensuring the resiliency and stability of a city through a shared community directive.
The process for developing a comprehensive plan is simple and transparent. The planning team begins by listening to residents, stakeholders, and City staff. Throughout the process, the community has opportunities to provide input for the vision of Bryant’s future. Residents can offer insights and weigh in on strategies through surveys, interactive online exercises, in-person meetings, and a multi-day workshop, or charrette. Using the information gathered directly from the community and its leaders, the team prepares a document that presents the collective vision of the community and strategies for making that vision a reality. The plan then enters the approval process, which will include public review and eventual adoption by City leaders.
The planning process has begun and is expected to conclude before the end of 2026.

“This is an opportunity for our citizens to influence the growth of our city. I am eager to learn the path they want to take as we move forward.”
