BRYANT, Ark. — Bryant is a community built on strong neighborhoods, great schools, and a quality of life that continues to draw families from across the region. As the city grows, the development of a City of Bryant comprehensive plan will allow the community to determine the direction of growth for the community.
“We want a plan shaped by resident voices and strengthened through shared commitment,” said Bryant Mayor Chris Treat.
The Bryant Leap Forward Plan will provide community-driven roadmap that guides decisions related to neighborhoods, transportation, parks, development, infrastructure, and the services that make our city work.
The City of Bryant is working with Crafton Tull and DPZ CoDesign to gather input from citizens that will form the backbone of the plan that focuses on protecting what the community values most while providing a framework to ensure Bryant remains a welcoming, connected, and resilient place to live for generations to come.
The planning process begins with public engagement and data gathering allowing residents and stakeholders to share their insights, concerns and suggestions. Through surveys, public meetings, and interactive work sessions, the team will gather feedback allowing them to develop a draft of the plan to be shared with public and City leaders for review and adoption. The result will be a plan grounded in community input that includes action items for implementation.
There are a variety of opportunities for the community to get involved and share their specific insight as well. A multi-day workshop will be held April 27 through May 1 and will provide a variety of opportunities for the community to share their thoughts on Bryant’s future.
The project’s website provides additional opportunities for the community to give their thoughts. There are multiple tools located at BryantLeapForward.com, including an interactive map and a short online survey.
“As Bryant launches its Comprehensive Growth Plan, community input will play a vital role in shaping what comes next. Public involvement ensures that future growth is guided not just by plans on paper, but by the voices of the people who call Bryant home,” said Bryant Schools Superintendent Dr. Karen Walters.
Bryant is strong because of its people, but it must now invest in the systems, infrastructure, and identity needed to match its growth. The Bryant Leap Forward Comprehensive Plan is the opportunity to shift from reacting to growth toward managing it intentionally, shaping a connected, resilient, family-centered city for the next generation.
